We received a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies!

We're excited to announce that Lighthouse has been selected to participate in the Bloomberg Philanthropies' Arts and Innovation Management (AIM) program! AIM provides funding and training to help build capacity for small and mid-size cultural organizations in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Denver, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, and Washington DC. Click here for more information about the program.

The AIM program will help Lighthouse develop important skills and processes that allow us to accomplish our mission of providing the highest caliber of artistic education, support, and community for writers and readers in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond. With this support, we can be more effective advocates for the literary arts, resulting in long-term impact on our community.

About receiving the award, Michael Henry, executive director of Lighthouse, says, "It’s an incredible honor to receive this support, and it couldn’t come at a better time for Lighthouse as we’re currently working to create a strategic plan that will carry us through the next five years. It’s also inspiring to know that the Bloomberg Foundation sees the value and importance of literary culture, which is just as vital and transformative as music, dance, and visual art."

Check out the short video below to learn more about the program, and stay tuned for big developments from Lighthouse!
