4-Week: Screenwriting for Specific Genres

Every genre has a specific style, structure, and voice when writing for film and TV. This course introduces writers to each specific genre and how to write for each one. We'll focus on a different genre each week, taking a deep dive into character, structure, and story. Genres include: drama, comedy (single and multi-cam), Sci Fi/Thriller/Horror, and Hybrid (combo of genres). Writers can expect in-class writing prompts, discussions, and short lectures.
