Angie Chuang is an associate professor of journalism at University of Colorado Boulder who writes and teaches a wide range of nonfiction forms. Her memoir, The Four Words for Home (Aquarius Press/Willow Books, 2014),won an Independents Publishers Award for Multicultural Nonfiction. Her writing has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, The Asian American Literary Review, Litro, The Washington Post, Hyphen, as well as anthologized in A Harp in the Stars: An Anthology of Lyric Essays, multiple editions of The Best Women’s Travel Writing, and the Lonely Planet’s Tales From Nowhere. Prior to entering academia, she was a newspaper reporter for 13 years, as a staff writer for The Oregonian, The Hartford Courant, and the Los Angeles Times.
