Julia Marquez-Uppman (she/her/hers) first joined Lighthouse as an intern in 2022, returning as a full-time staff member in June of 2024. Prior to this, she worked as an undergraduate composition instructor, an English teacher in Chile, and a librarian, among other roles. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from Colorado State University and is currently at work on an essay collection. When not writing or working, she enjoys cooking/baking, running, and spending time with her husband and dog.
