This advanced workshop invites writers to extend their range of skills by writing longer poems and/or sequence poems. We'll consider the formal challenges of writing longer poems, as well as such issues as what to do when you think you’ve run out of ideas but the poem is still beckoning you to continue! The instructor will offer examples and prompts, though the class will enthusiastically support whatever each poet creates. Participants should, however, be prepared to offer thoughtful, attentive readings of work by other class participants.
Prerequisite: Writers in this course should be advanced poets who've taken at least one or more rounds of the intermediate workshop or the equivalent. To apply, please email three to five poems and a brief history of your workshop experience to info@Lighthousewriters.org.
