Working with Poetic Forms for ages 14-18

You’ve heard of a Sonnet, but what about the Rondel, Golden Shovel, or the Bop? In this class, we’ll experiment with traditional and new poetic forms—and even create our own. Each session will include a mix of craft lessons, writing, and optional sharing. We’ll touch on meter, rhyme, structure, and sound as a way to expand your writing tools, deepen your knowledge of well-known poems, and  see how your writing and creativity can change in surprising ways when you work within a structure.
