For most of us, submitting isn’t our favorite part of writing, but we do want to see our work published. This class will focus on submitting poems for publication by strategizing the best ways to send out work, get it published, and create a system to move forward. We’ll learn how to discover outlets for our poems and overview the well-known Submittable and Duotrope sites, plus efficient secrets to a fun and free new submission tracker and database used by 25,000 writers. Each class features submission strategies, discussion and questions, resources and custom tools, and actual time to submit work, along with assignments to keep us on track. To get the most out of this class, poets should have seven to ten polished pieces ready for publication. Jump in! A new send-out season is upon us!
