Let's close out this year's Writing in Color Fest with a tea ceremony led by herbalist Akil Kuumba Kelley featuring his own tea blends, discussion on the herbs used, as well as a concluded meditation. During the tea ceremony we'll also enjoy some writing time with Lighthouse instructor Chase Morris who will lead us through generative prompts focused on bringing old childhood memories to the surface as a way to start the process of looking at one’s inner child. The cost of this event covers our facilitator's time/skills and a light snack spread.
This event is part of the Writing in Color Fest and is open to writers of all genres and creatives who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC+). The goal of the Fest is to provide a space for writers of color to be in community and thrive as they grow their writing skills.
